This is one of the best departments of Obstetrics & Gynaecology in the NCR with over 9418 patient visits a year in our clinic, almost 650 deliveries a year, gynecologic surgery, oncology and infertility services. ARTEMIS BIRTHING CENTRE
Artemis makes giving birth the most memorable & cherished moment of your life, providing every possible comfort of a home.
Birthing Center at Artemis offers professional counseling & care throughout pregnancy, childbirth & early parenthood. We provide you with continuing support & information on all pregnancy issues & questions, parenting, a choice for birth including natural birth, advice about breastfeeding, the care of new-born & family planning.
The Epidural analgesia (medication to block pain) which is offered to women in labour allows them to have a painless delivery.
For Cesarean birth, you will also find a family-centered approach. Your obstetrical nurse will remain with you during the preparation, birth & recovery after your delivery. Your spouse or support person is encouraged to attend this joyous event. After your baby is born, a specialized team of paediatricians & nurses will perform your baby's first health exam in the delivery room with you. We make every effort to have healthy moms & babies recover together.
AHI is equipped with 6 LDRs (Labour Delivery Recovery) with backup facility of a blood bank, ICU and multidisciplinary specialists which make the memorable moment of childbirth the safest possible.
PRENATAL DIAGNOSIS & ULTRASOUND
At AHI, we have a team of specialists, including maternal-fetal medicine specialists who help families and individuals make more informed reproductive decisions through prenatal diagnosis. Genetic amniocentesis, ultrasonography and chorionic villus sampling are available to screen for the presence of different disorders, such as neural tube defects and chromosomal abnormalities. Other non-invasive testing for chromosome abnormalities, such as the first trimester combined test, the second trimester quad screen, and sequential screening are available. Testing options are discussed with families and individuals in order to provide Genetic Counseling.
DIABETES MANAGEMENT
At AHI, our experienced team of specialists including an endocrinologist and nutritionist will help the patient whose pregnancy is complicated with diabetes have the best outcome possible for their baby. Frequent supportive counseling and mgmt of glucose levels, specialized testing & monitoring of the infant & mother as well as nutritional counseling is available at the patient's prenatal visits.

MINIMAL INVASIVE SURGERY (MIS)
The gynaecologists at AHI are capable of performing a multitude of procedures in a minimally invasive fashion using the most advanced technology. Laparoscopic surgery involves the performance of procedures using micro-surgical techniques through tiny incisions that offer better cosmesis, less pain and faster recovery. Using advanced video imaging technology and cutting edge electrosurgical equipment these tiny incisions are used to introduce a thin telescope attached to a small video camera, along with very intricate tiny instruments that enable the surgeon to perform your procedure safely through the tiny incisions. This technology facilitates magnification & better visualization of subtle pathologic details in the pelvic cavity and increases surgical precision.
